Nokia 8 Launch: Dual Zeiss Camera, Bothie, Specs, Price and More
Today in London Nokia has launched(via HMD Global) its first Android based flagship phone the Nokia 8. The highlights of the Nokia 8 are its Dual Carl Zeiss Camera setup, Bothie feature, 600 series Aluminium body, Nokia OZO spatial 360° audio, 2K polarized display and much more. Nokia 8 price is EUR 599/$705/Rs.45,000.
Nokia 8, the first Android based flagship phone:
The HMD Global is trying to give the competition to Apple iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S8 (also upcoming Apple iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8), Huawei P10, OnePlus 5. It is the first true Android based flagship phone says the company.

Nokia 8 Cameras:
It has Dual Zeiss Camera setup of 2×13 Megapixel f/2.0 cameras on the back with laser and phase detection auto focus and Dual tone LED. One camera is RGB with Optical Image Stabilization and the second one is the monochrome camera. On the front, there is a 13 Megapixel selfie camera which is also a Zeiss Optics Auto Focus camera.
Nokia has embedded a feature inside the Camera UI, the Bothie Mode. In Bothie mode you can use both front and rear camera simultaneously even in video mode. In Bothie mode you can use both front and rear camera simultaneously even in video mode.
So if you are live on Facebook, Youtube etc you can share even your front surroundings with your viewers.
Nokia 8 Display and Design:
The Nokia 8 has a polarized 5.3inch IPS LCD display having the resolution of Quad HD (2K) with the maximum brightness of 700mits. The display is protected by Corning’s Latest Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.
In order to dissipate the heat from the phone, there is a copper pipe which is placed from top right corner to the left lower corner and has the liquid evaporation system in middle and condensation system on edges. The Graphite shield passes the heat to the aluminum frame and at the end, it releases in the air. So it enables the longer lasting experience while playing games or watching videos.
The Nokia 8 is 7mm thin and it is Splashproof with an IP54 rating. The 600 Series Aluminum metal frame strengthens the phone. The phone comes with four back case color options i.e. Polished Copper, Polished Blue, Tampered Blue and Steel Gary.
Nokia 8 Audio system: Nokia OZO spatial 360° audio
The Nokia 8 boasts a Nokia OZO spatial 360° audio. An audio system in which multiple mics will be in a synchronized way while recording the 4K video(yes the Nokia 8 supports 4K recording too) and also it reduces the ambient sound and the background noise.
So you will not face any delay between video and audio while watching the same on the 2K display with high-quality speakers.
The company says that we just did not want to showcase our flagship with some usual features but also wanted to give a unique experience to our fans while they in entertainment mode.
Nokia 8 Processor, Memory:
The Nokia 8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, and Octa processor having the clock speed of 2.5 GHz, the same processor is powering the most Android flagships of this year. There is an NFC feature too for the payment and other activities.
The Phone comes with 4GB RAM, 64Gb internal storage, and the company is planning to release 2 different variants of the phone respected to the market i.e. Single SIM phone and Hybrid Dual SIM slot variant(SIM1+SIM2 or SIM1+microSD Card).
Nokia 8 OS, Battery, and Sensors:
It runs on Google latest Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) based near to stock Android UI, with August’s security patch. The company says that we are committed to providing the fast and performance rich experience to our fans so the UI has no bloatware and no fancy things and we promised you to give upcoming Android O update as soon as possible.
The Nokia 8 houses a 3090mAh battery and there are sensors like Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, E-compass, Gyroscope, Fingerprint Sensor, Hall sensor, Barometer inside the hood.
Nokia 8 Price and Availability:
The phone will start selling globally in September with the price tag of EUR 599/ $705/ Rs.45,000 and also the company is going to release this in India in the month of October and price will be close to the global price.
