Sony is not a new name to be heard of in the smartphone industry and we all know about the company and how good it is. But these days, the smartphones released by Sony are not up to the market trends and we saw a fall in the company’s smartphone market shares. Sony was not concentrating much on what its competitors offer to the customers in the flagship range. After a decent interval, Sony is now planning to regain its position in the market and is trying to make a comeback.
Sony is planning to launch a smartphone in 2018 named Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra. It may be spotted most probably on MWC 2018(Mobile World Congress). As per the leaked pictures, it looks like Sony is still holding on to its good old design language with this device too. By now, we all remember those big bezels in the top and bottom which looks aged and not quite future proof. On top of it, the device still keeps the 16:9 aspect ratio. The leaks suggest that the model number of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is H4233. The device will run on Android Oreo 8.0.0 with few Sony’s UI tweaks. The device is expected to sport a 6 inch Full HD display. Sony chose to power the device by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 chipset. There will be two variants of the device one sporting 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and the other with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage setup.
In terms of camera, the device will sport a 21 MP rear facing camera and dual 15 MP front cameras. The placement of the camera is new. The camera is placed one on each of the sides. The camera will possibly have OIS( Optical Image Stabilization) like the previous gen Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra. So take a look at the leaked specifications given below.
